Welcome to the Wall Wizards Wicked
Weekend. In this packet, you should find the
following information:

Be sure to recheck your team’s schedule as late as
Thursday, June 18th to make sure nothing
has changed (i.e., team dropping out, etc.). It may
mean your game may be moved to a different time or
field.

Registration
Each team
must bring a copy of your proof of your
insurance. You must bring this information and
present it to us at the Registration Table before your first game.
You must carry
birth certificates with you at all times in the
tournament that may be reviewed by tournament
officials in case any question of age arises.
Any team not
ready to play their first game within 5 minutes
after scheduled start time will forfeit the game.

Unofficial
Seedings may be announced at South Wall Little
League for 12U Harry Rash Field for 16U/18U and
North Wall Little League after the final game has been played on
Saturday. The Official Seedings will be posted on
www.wallwizardsnj.com website in the
Tournament Section. Please check
the location listed above then go to the website for final
conformation.
You must
check the website on or around 9:00PM Saturday
night. If an error in calculations is made at the
seeding meeting it will be corrected and posted on
the website.
STRUCTURE
4 game guarantee
– 3 on Saturday and 1 on Sunday (weather
permitting)
Single-Elimination Tournament
Teams will be
seeded first to last. The winners will advance to
play for the tournament championship.

If inclement
weather makes the number of games played by each
team in the pool unequal, the Won-Lost record will
be replaced by Winning Percentage and Fewest Runs
Allowed and Most Runs Scored will be changed to
Average Runs Allowed/Average Runs Scored Per Game.
GAMES
·
Teams may consist
of a maximum of 15 players.
·
Teams must
have a roster of all team members, listing names,
age, and uniform number available to the tournament director
in case or protest.
·
Teams must have
proof of age available for each player.
·
Insurance
coverage is the responsibility of each team and must
be submitted prior to playing the first game.
·
NO SMOKING is
permitted in the playing field areas.
·
Game Length is:
85 min or seven innings (whichever is reached first)
· Pool
Play - no inning will start after 1 hour and 15
minutes, drop dead at 1 hour and 25 minutes. Score
will revert to the last complete inning. In Pool
Play, ties will count. On Sunday in elimination
play, no inning will start after 1 hour and 20
minutes. We will finish the inning on Sunday only.
If the game is tied at that time, we will play the
ITB in whatever inning we are in. Time limit will
be waived starting in the semi-finals games & in the
championship games.

No extra-inning
games in pools, so ties will count.
· Only
the Championship Games on Sunday, all games will be
full seven innings – no time limit.
·
All decisions to
change time limits are the sole responsibility of
the Tournament Director.
In case or less
than six teams in an age bracket the tournament
director may at his discretion combine 12U with 14U
and 16U with 18U.
·
Stalling tactics
will not be permitted and will be called at the
umpire’s discretion.
·
All teams are
required to be flexible in the case of inclement
weather. The Tournament Director will make all
decisions regarding allotted game time.
·
Home team in the
Round Robin Games will be determined by a coin flip
prior to the start of the game by the umpire. Choice
of Home team to higher seed on Sunday.
·
Home team keeps
the official scorebook.
·
All teams must
present lineups to the umpire and opposing coach
prior to the game.
·
The umpire has
the official and final say on all scorebook
disputes.
·
Softballs for
each game will be provided by the Tournament
Director and given to the umpire.
·
No infield
practice prior to any game. Warm up may be done on
grass only.
·
Managers are
expected to control themselves, their coaches,
players, parents and spectators. Failure to do so
may result in forfeiture of the game, ejection from
the game, or ejection from multiple games of the
tournament.
· It
is the responsibility, after each game, of
the Winning Coach to Double Check the
Umpire's scorecard after the game. If the Umpire
inadvertently posts the score with the wrong team
winning, that score will stand. It has happened !

Tournament
reserves the right to change the number of
umpires in any game.
FOR TEAM TO
INITIATE A PROTEST TO THE TOURNAMENT STAFF, THEY
MUST:

Present $100
cash at time of protest.
-
If protest is
upheld, $100 will be refunded.
-
If protest is
denied, $100 is forfeited for delay of game
penalty.
-
If protest
occurs and delays a pool play game so that 3
innings are not completed in the allotted time,
and if the protest is not upheld, the game will
be forfeited by to the protesting team.
-
The
umpire-in-chief along with the tournament
director makes the final rulings, and there is
no other course for appeal.
-
THERE WILL BE
NO PROTESTS ACCEPTED IN MATTERS INVOLVING SOLELY
OFFICIAL’S JUDGMENT. Only decisions involving
misapplication or misinterpretation of a rule
may be protested.
Rules
· Courtesy runners may be used for the
pitcher and catcher at any time.
THE MERCY RULE IS:
· 12 runs after three innings
· 10 runs after four innings
· 8 runs after five innings
PITCHING DISTANCE IS 40 FEET
·
Extra hitter EH and DH may be
used for a maximum of 11 hitters in the batting
order.
· EH/DH may play the field at any time.
ALL OTHER OFFICIAL ASA
RULES WILL APPLY TO ALL FLIGHTS
